Academic Teaching Activities

Teaching and Training

Dr. Qurban Hussain Khan is actively involved in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training in Pakistan. He has delivered invited lectures and workshops at major national electrophysiology conferences, the Pakistan Cardiac Society lecture series, hospital-based ECG workshops, and institutional teaching programs. His academic interests encompass ECG diagnosis of ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, broad complex tachycardia, electrical storm, heart failure, anticoagulation, hypertension, and postgraduate examination preparation, alongside a focus on medical ethics communication skills.

National Electrophysiology Conferences

Dr. Khan has been a regular invited speaker at two major conferences focused on cardiac electrophysiology training in Pakistan: the Rhythm for Life / AFIC Annual Electrophysiology Conference, where he has delivered invited presentations every year since 2018, and the Karachi Electrophysiology Summit, where he has presented annually since its inception in 2020. Notably, at the 3rd Karachi Electrophysiology Summit held at the Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi in 2022, he delivered a lecture on the ECG diagnosis of ventricular tachycardia during a session dedicated to advanced topics. These conferences serve as vital national platforms for educating electrophysiologists, cardiologists, trainees, and allied cardiac professionals, while also emphasizing the importance of medical ethics communication skills in the field.
